Not to worry, EA will just buy another plane type. They currently have Boeing, Saab, CRJ, and Embraer, in quantities of 1-3 each.

So they have costs for keeping spare parts and trained mechanics for 4 different types of airplanes, as well as needing pilots trained for each type. Brilliant efficiency :)

let them train also on the Spitfire or Hawker, for every case! Does the "Tante Ju" still exist? Reply to the comment answer

They way I read it, EA wants to operate the routes on their own:

"While in Europe Estonian Air is free to fly to anywhere, opening of new routes with non-EU countries requires a bilateral aviation treaty."

Besides, why would Qatar (cited in the article) need EA's connections to Europe? They already fly to basically all the same European cities that EA flies, so why route passengers via Tallinn instead of utilizing their existing direct routes?

I never considered myself the brightest of the pack. But even to my small brain sounds quite surprising that Singapore Airlines will use one of its 380 or 747 to come to Estonia? I think the interest is more from the Estonian side. For a city of half a million, I can tell you, they won´t Reply to the comment answer
