Tallink carried 5% more passengers in fourth quarter on year
06.09.2010, 17:37Estonian listed ferry group Tallink said that it carried 2.83 million passengers in the fourth quarter or more than 5% than a year earlier.
Passenger number went up almost 12% in Estonia-Finland line to 1.23 million people, 3% in Latvia-Sweden line to 0.2 million people, 0.8% in Finland-Sweden line to 1.05 million people and 0.2% in Estonia-Sweden line to 0.28 million people. The Finland-Germany line saw passenger number decline almost 20% to 35,463 passengers.
In August, the company carried 926,542 passengers or nearly 9% more than compared to August 2009. The number of passenger vehicles increased over 14% to 121 105 and trucks and trailers increased over 15% to 22 354 units
in same comparison.
