Tero Taskila, the new president and CEO of Estonian Air, believes that the Estonian national carrier Estonian Air muyst grow if it wants to survive, writes ERR.

“Every company must grow. To survive, Estonian Air needs to grow and find new opportunities to become more efficient. We must find new routes and possibilities to grow in current markets,” said Taskila who joined Estonian Air from airBaltic, the main competitor of Estonian Air.

Speaking of his past, Taskila says that every airline is different. “I have worked in low-cost carriers, but large five-star carriers are also operating local lines, therefore my principle is that copy-paste solutions don’t work. I am not going to copy the activities of airBaltic in Estonian Air," said Taskila.
