Estonian national carrier Estonian Air has made no decision regarding the future of the Tallinn-Tartu route, said the company’s commercial manager Rauno Parras, writes Postimees daily.

According to Parras, claims that the carrier has given the route until midsummer are not true.

On April 4, Erik Sakkov, board member of Tallinn Airport, said that if the number of air passengers on the Tallinn-Tartu route did not start growing soon, the whole route would be cancelled.

Speaking at the international logistics conference “Rail Baltic” last week in Tartu, Sakkov said that if by May less than 1,100 passengers have taken the route, Tallinn Airport has no option but close the line.
