Finnair outsources its accounting to Estonia

One of the world’s largest airlines Finnair has outsourced its accounting operations to Tartu, writes Äripäev.

The move that took place already last year created 100 new jobs in Estonia.

Päivi Tallqvist, media relations manager of Finnair, said that the airline decided to outsource accounting operations to Tartu because it is a university town tand there are many specialists available.

“We hired local professionals,” sid Tallqvist, adding that accounting services are being provided by Backoffice Services Estonia.

The company increased its revenue 78 percent last year and its average wages increased 20 percent in a year.
