Hotel Viru turns loss into profit

Tallinn’s most famous hotel, Hotel Viru, announced that it has turned its 500,000-euro loss that it made in 2010 into a profit.

The company that belongs to Finnish company Pontos said its net profit for 2011 was 1.3 million euros.

Annual revenues amounted to 5.4 million euros, up from 5.3 million in 2010.

The hotel is operated by Sokos Hotels, a Finnish hotel chain.
Pontos OY also owns 75 percent of Viru Keskus shopping centre.
