Estonian Air is thinking about buying Copterline

The supervisory board of Estonia's national carrier Estonian Air has told the airline's board to make a direct offer to the owners of the Copterline company that operates regular helicopter flights between Tallinn and Helsinki, to buy the company, reports the Baltic Course.

Estonian Air council chairman Joakim Helenius said that the council just gave the task to see if making such an offer would be even justified but nothing has been decided.

"Thus, your information is a bit premature but it is not wrong," he said. "This has to be considered first and the general plane company and Tallinn Airport development has to be taken into account."

Copterline's CEO Tõnis Lepp was unwilling to comment upon the topic.
